Based on the low number of replies to this thread, it appears that not very many people use FilmPack.
#DXO FILMPACK LIGHTROOM 5 SOFTWARE#
Oddly enough, by the time I get home at 7:30-ish at night after spending half a day with her, fix supper, tidy the house, play with the cat etc., I don't have much energy left to spend on in-depth learning and trial usage of a new software application!! I will do the "free trial" thing, but need to wait until my wife is out of the hospital (she had her hip joint replaced June 16, and is now in the extended care wing of the hospital undergoing physical therapy until July 5th). When filmpack is installed you get new rendering packs and generally do not go into filmpack plugin itself which is the path you take if you use lightroom or something else for raw conversion Plus, if I get a decent software package, I can use it to process old files from the past 15 years or so something the Fuji camera wouldn't be able to do.įilmpack works on TIFF files is not a RAW converter so the workflow is to use Photolab first then either call the rendering from there or using the plug in if you want to access additional effects I realize I could switch over to Fuji and get the simulations "for free", but somehow the idea of spending a hundred-ish bucks on software seems cheaper than a new camera and lenses. If you have suggestions as to other film simulation type products, that would be nice too. Thanks very much for any help you may be able to provide. Nor have I been able to find whether I can use FilmPack 5 with PhotoLab 4Ĭan anyone tell me whether I can use FilmPack to process my G9 files? And hopefully, as a plugin to PhotoLab? I'd like to get FilmPack 5 Elite, but I cannot find anywhere that positively states FilmPack 5 will process the Pany G9 RAW files. I have the latest versions of DxO PhotoLab 4 and ViewPoint 3. So, I figured a question or two to this forum might be in order. After Googling around for half an hour, I was not able to find the info I'm after.
